Wine Wednesday ~ Wines For the Passover and Easter Seasons by Marty Cook
What are you serving this season? Just as important is the wine or wines that you will pair with that food! Have a traditional pairing? Or, need ideas?
This seasonal fare is generally lighter fare. Wines that work are generally light to medium bodied, often lacking in tannins, and frequently white or rosé. These wines may include everything from Pinot Grigio to Beaujolais and everything in between.
Search online for help, if you wish, or visit your local wine shop for a chat with the resident Wine Specialist and pour over the shelves of possibilities. Sauvignon Blanc? If so, from where? Pinot Noir? Again, location-location-location. What about something off the beaten track? A Furmint from Hungary, perhaps? Or, a Verdicchio from Jesi, Italy? Or, default to a traditional rosé from Provence, France? Whatever you choose, we look forward to being surprised at its unveiling at our next Wine Wednesday on March 31st at 7:00 p.m. Join us then on the Zoom link listed below for an hour of entertaining chatter as we toast the season!
