Wine Wednesday ~ Chardonnay

This week for wine Wednesday will take a look (and have a taste) at what is perhaps the world’s most polarizing wine; Chardonnay.  Originally from Burgundy, used in all kinds of sparkling wines, and without the distinctive flavors of other white varieties like Sauvignon Blanc or Riesling, Chardonnay is said to be the most popular white wine on earth. On the other hand, it’s a topic of conversation so adamantly admonished by its detractors that it may keep a couple of our regulars from even opening their Zoom app to join the call. Let’s talk it through and see if those who like it can get to the bottom of what makes a good Chardonnay, while those who don’t are encouraged to show and tell us why you feel it’s worst.
