Wine Wednesday ~ Sauvignon Blanc

This week’s installment of Wine Wednesday takes place on July 14th at 7:00 p.m. Eastern/New York Time on the Zoom link shown below and features wines made from the Sauvignon Blanc grape.  Known as one of the small handful of Noble Grapes, and doubling as one of the parents to Cabernet Sauvignon, this French wine grape is grown the world over.

Sauvignon Blanc is a versatile grape that is capable of portraying many  profiles. The terroir of each vineyard has everything to do with the wine aromas and flavors.  So, French Sauvignon Blanc from various regions within the Loire Valley will differ from each other as well as from those from, say, Washington State or Australia.

For this Wine Wednesday event, choose your favorite Sauvignon Blanc from wherever and join us on July 14th at 7:00 p.m. to showcase your selection!   And, as always, please take photos of the front and back labels of your bottle and send them to WineCat@pa.net by Tuesday at 11 p.m. for inclusion in Wednesday’s PowerPoint slide presentation.
