Fabulous French Whites

Vive la France, where the lavender grows next to the vineyard!  What a beautiful spring backdrop to introduce our May 17^th event.  We are excited to welcome back Kevin Ostrowski to explore some of the iconic white wines of France anticipating spring and summer seasons to enjoy them.  Fair warning—die hard red drinkers may convert after this experience!

Many of you already know Kevin is a wine guide extraordinaire.   Kevin is American Wine Society’s Western PA Regional Ambassador, Chapter Chair of the AWS Beaver County, chapter, and member of the AWS Education Committee.

An AWS Certified Wine Judge, Kevin is a Certified Specialist of Wine with the Society of Wine Educators, holds a Wine and Spirits Education Trust Level 3 Award in Wine and Spirits (with Merit), and has completed level 1 Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers.

Kevin teaches AWS Wine Judge Certification Training.  He is a Wine Instructor for Butler County Community College and has taught the Super Tasters Class for the American Wine Society.

Kevin’s expert exploration of French whites promises a great event.  We are seeking out representative wines from all the major French growing regions.  Many of the grapes represented in our wine line-up are noble varieties: Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Viognier, Chardonnay.  Others may be less well-known grape wines, yet equally interesting and delightful, which we include to expand your learning and palate—Vive la mission du PWS!

The wines will be paired with three small plates of food by Hilton Chefs.  Details forthcoming in future updates—just now but the main message is—Save time in May for this one!   Friday, May 17^th at 7 p.m. Hilton Harrisburg.
