Champagne Brunch

Champagne is a wine that bares its soul like no other — a soul that “dances in the bottle” wrote poet Charles Baudelaire in Les Fleurs du Mal. Now joyful, now sad, now powerful, now graceful; Champagne can be exuberant one moment and hushed the next. It can be full bodied or delightfully spirited, big enough for grand occasions but gentle enough for a romantic tête-à-tête. This is a wine that you taste with your head and drink with your heart, a wine that speaks to the softness inside you.
This year’s Champagne Brunch promises to be extra special. We’re doing a horizontal tasting of six same-vintage Champagnes from one biodynamic grower—Benoît Marguet!
The wines are from six different vineyards in six Grand Crus of Reims and Côte de Blancs regions of Champagne.
We’ve pre-tasted these wines and each is delightfully unique – it will be a great experience of grapes and terroir.
Five of the Champagnes will be paired with a small plate for a filling brunch – good pre-season tummy training for all those holiday meals and treats to come in future weeks!
Chef Jason Viscount always delivers fabulous plates for us and we’ve come to look forward to the food as much as the bubbly.
This event is social, with no formal presentation, so you can relax and enjoy the food and wine pairings and engage in lively table conversation.
The holiday brunch has always been a great way for PWS to end our program year. We hope all of you can join us!
