DESCRIPTION:“Pour the Champagne and let its mousse rise\, like thousands of sparkling smiling eyes.” – Jared Brown \n  \nEsteemed for its freshness\, vitality\, and sensuality\, champagne is a wine of great complexity.  It is exciting to try new Champagnes. This year’s event has wines not standard shelf\, a good thing with Champagne\, as with most wines.  Here’s how it all bubbles up. \nWe begin with an especially festive Champagne experience you may have heard about and turned a nose up—Champagne on ice (and we don’t mean the bottle).  Several of the big Champagne houses\, following the lead of Moet and Chandon\, have created more intense\, high dosage wines for the express purpose of serving on ice.  If your palate is offended\, we understand. Know however that these are popular products (marketed outside France of course).  As ambassadors to extend PWS’s educational mission\, for all things wine and open to all learning\, we will serve the aperitif\, Moet and Chandon Ice Imperial on ice with fruit garnishes to ready you for brunch.  Many wine enthusiasts have been pleasantly surprised by this drink with the depth and complexity of Champagne\, and approachable cocktail-like friendliness.  Recall it’s made for ice. \nFor brunch we’re pairing a vintage Blanc de Blancs of 100% Chardonnay\, two very nice Pinot Meunier dominant selections\, and two different style Pinot Noir dominant selections.  Here’s the menu. \n  \nShrimp and Seabass Galette with Haricot Vert and Dijon Hollandaise \nGeoffroy Volupte Blanc de Blancs 2015  \n  \nTrout Escabeche with Pickled Radish and Rye Bread \nLaherte Freres Extra-Brut Ultradition NV \n  \nSmoked Salmon Terrine with Wasabi Tobiko and Cucumber Salad \nLaherte Freres Extra Brut Rose de Meunier NV \n  \nOrganic Bell & Evens Chicken Roulade with Mushroom Stuffing\, Potato Savonette\, Red Grapes \nMouzon Leroux et Fils L’atavique Tradition Extra Brut Champagne Grand Cru NV \n  \nCrème Brulé with Blackberries and Short Bread Cookie \nHenri Goutorbe Cuvee Prestige Premier Cru Champagne Brut NV  \n  \nTo experience these taste sensations\, join us Sunday\, December 1st\, 12 Noon at the Greystone Public House\, 2120 Colonial Road\, Harrisburg. \nVeterans of this event look forward to it as a social occasion\, as well as opportunity to enjoy Chef Jason Viscount’s fabulous food with some special bubbly. \nThis is an event not only for your own pleasure\, but a great opportunity for planning your own dinners and celebrations.   It’s the perfect way to sample multiple Champagnes\, without investing a small fortune\, to make better-informed choices on your own. \nPlease note that booking availability ends a bit sooner than usual to provide Greystone the final count.
