DESCRIPTION:This week’s Wine Wednesday on May 11th at 7:00 pm Eastern Time makes a course correction that takes us back across the pond to Europe and specifically to Eastern Europe. But\, for this trip\, we are going a little deeper into the eastern part of the continent. Get ready to talk about favorite or newly discovered wines from countries such as Bulgaria\, the Czech Republic\, Hungary\, Poland\, Romania\, Slovakia\, Moldova\, Croatia\, or The Ukraine. You will have to do a little digging to find examples of wines from these areas. But\, if you can find them\, you will be pleasantly surprised. Winemaking in these nations has a rather ancient history. In fact\, some of the grape varieties you will encounter in your research are very ancient\, although they are not necessarily household words.
